Lexus Car And Prices Biography USA
Toyota's luxury brand offers plenty of cars and SUVs alike. The brand's most affordable option is the UX sub-compact SUV, which remains one of the only options on the market to offer a hybrid powertrain. In fact, almost every one of the brand's current offerings include electrified options. On the crossover side, buyers have the choice of the best-selling RX (which now comes in a long-wheelbase three-row model), or the compact NX, which saw a second-generation model launch for 2022. The NX now offers four powertrains, including a powerful turbocharged ICE and the brand's first plug-in hybrid. Buyers looking for more traditional SUVs can get either the GX or larger LX, the latter of which also saw a new model debut for 2022. The LX now includes a high-end trim with reclining rear seats to take on the Land Rover Range Rover.
On the sedan side, Lexus offers the IS sport compact, ES mid-sizer, and full-size LS flagship sedan. The IS 500 debuted for 2022, bringing a V8 back to the smallest Lexus sedan. Of course, that V8 still resides under the hood of the beautiful LC coupe, which even offers a hybrid too. Lexus was introduced in 1989 as a luxury brand targeted at Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Jaguar. Its first model, the LS400 won critical acclaim, and later expanded to include the Camry-based ES luxury sedan, the GS sports sedan in 1993, the LX luxury SUV (based on the Toyota Land Cruiser) in 1995 and the IS sports sedan in 1999.
